  Bryan P. Jacobs DMD, MS, FACP

  Board-Certified Prosthodontist

  Dr. Jacobs is one of only three prosthodontists in private practice in Chicago who is board-certified by the American Board of Prosthodontics. He is the only board-certified prosthodontist practicing in the North Shore. Dr. Jacobs is a graduate of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (2010) and the University of Michigan, College of Engineering (2006). Following dental school, he completed a three-year residency program in prosthodontics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prosthodontics is the specialty of dentistry focusing on the replacement of missing teeth using the highest standards of care. Dr. Jacobs is formally trained in complex rehabilitation, digital dentistry, as well as implant surgery, and restoration. Dr. Jacobs served four years as a clinical professor at the University of Illinois— Chicago, School of Dentistry. He has published abstracts and articles in multiple international journals. Dr. Jacobs’ implant research earned him a place as a John J. Sharry Research Competition Finalist. At Harvard, he was President of his dental class and was recognized with the American College of Dentists Outstanding Student Leader Award and the Dr. Norman B. Nesbett Award for Excellence in Clinical Dentistry. At graduation, he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Jacobs currently lectures to other dentists and specialists on the topics of immediate implants (same-day implants), the relationship between gum health and overall systemic health, and gummy smile correction. His most recent published article examines bone grafting at the time of same-day implants. It is titled A Randomized Controlled Trial Evaluating Grafting the Facial Gap at Immediately Placed Implants and is featured in the March 2020 edition of the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry. His 2013 article on gummy smile correction has, as of 2021, been cited by other authors in 31 subsequent articles on the topic. He volunteers at the Care Free Dental Clinic for underserved populations. Also of note, Dr. Jacobs is married to a fellow dental specialist, together raising their three young children.

  Phillip S. Finkel, DDS

  Dentist

  In private practice for more than three decades, Dr. Finkel was most recently honored as a top dentist by Chicago Magazine, recognized by his peers for professional excellence. His passion for ensuring his patients enjoy healthy, attractive smiles has led to a strong focus on restorative, implant, cosmetic, and aesthetic dentistry. He has participated in numerous continuing education courses to provide the most advanced procedures and materials for bonding and reshaping teeth. Dr. Finkel volunteers his time and dental expertise to the ARK, a non-profit social service agency that provides medical care, food, and other basic necessities to Chicago-area families in need. A Cubs fan since childhood, Dr. Finkel had the ultimate privilege of treating “Mr. Cub” Ernie Banks as a long-time patient at Dental Professionals. Outside of work, Dr. Finkel is relishing his empty nester status with his wife Ilene and enjoys biking, golfing, and visiting his adored grandchildren in New York. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and served as a Clinical Operative Instructor at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry.   Steven B. Kase, DDS

  Cosmetic Dentist

  As a private practitioner for over 30 years, Dr. Kase has been a consistent student of and advocate for the industry’s most advanced technologies and procedures. One of the first dentists in Chicago to offer crowns in a day using CAD/CAM technology for pinpoint accuracy and dependably outstanding results, Dr. Kase continues to hone and expand his skills. He has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education seminars, encompassing topics such as endodontics and TMJ. Dr. Kase has played a key role in researching and adopting the state-of-the-art tools now used to treat patients on a daily basis at the Dental Professionals. Outside of work, Dr. Kase enjoys leisure time with his wife Sheri, as well as perfecting his golf game and spoiling his treasured grandchild. He is also a member of the PDL Study Club, a group of top Chicago dentists who place a special emphasis on dental implants.   Paul J. Katz, DDS

  Restorative & Cosmetic Dentist

  A private practitioner for more than three decades, Dr. Katz was most recently recognized as one of the area’s top dentists in Chicago Magazine, honored by his peers for excellence. His dedicated focus on continuing education, spanning numerous hours of clinical coursework at the Center for Advanced Dental Studies, has greatly expanded the services available to patients at the Dental Professionals. In addition to offering restorative and implant dentistry, Dr. Katz treats TMJ sufferers with a variety of techniques to effectively and swiftly relieve jaw and head discomfort. As a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Dr. Katz provides advanced, individually tailored treatments for snoring and sleep apnea. He regularly attends clinical courses with a major emphasis on esthetic dentistry and implants and is a provider for Invisalign, clear aligners for discreet tooth straightening. Dr. Katz teamed up with his partners to implement the recent renovation of both Dental Professionals locations to highly advanced treatment centers with spa-like amenities that further enhance the patient experience. Outside of work, Dr. Katz enjoys golf, paddle tennis, and traveling coast to coast to visit his adult children. Dr. Katz is a member of the American Dental Association and the Chicago Dental Society.   Jennifer Moeller, DMD

  Prosthodontics

  Dr. Moeller completed her dental education at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (2017) and her undergraduate education at the University of Michigan (2013). After dental school, Dr. Moeller completed a three-year residency in Prosthodontics at the West Los Angeles Veterans Hospital. While in dental school, Dr. Moeller founded the Tufts Prosthodontics Study Club and was awarded the Dr. and Mrs. Albert J. Kazis Endowed Prize Fund in Crown and Bridge for her clinical accomplishments in Prosthodontics. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national honor society. During residency, Dr. Moeller served as Chief Prosthodontic resident during her final year of residency, and she taught clinical denture courses to second and fourth-year UCLA, dental students. During her residency at the Veterans Hospital, Dr. Moeller treated a variety of oral conditions, including severe tooth wear, missing teeth, and broken-down teeth. She treated these conditions with crowns, bridges, veneers, complete dentures, partial dentures, and dental implants. She also completed full mouth rehabilitations utilizing combinations of these treatment methods. Dr. Moeller greatly enjoyed working with the veteran patient population – she appreciated the opportunity to get to know her patients, hear their stories, and help restore their smiles. Prior to joining the team at Dental Professionals, Dr. Moeller practiced as a Prosthodontist in her home state of Michigan and served as a part-time clinical professor at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. In her free time, she enjoys staying active, spending time with friends and family, trying new restaurants, and traveling to national parks with her husband.

  Julie Okamoto, DDS

  Dentist

  A commitment to higher education, service, and personalized care for her patients has been the foundation of Dr. Okamoto’s practice of general dentistry for over 30 years. Dr. Okamoto earned her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees, graduating with honors, from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. She then continued her education in a general practice residency program with the United States Air Force. Following the completion of her one-year residency at Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, IL, Captain Okamoto proudly served her country for the next two years as a general dentist at Misawa Air Force Base in Japan. After separating from the Air Force, Dr. Okamoto started her own successful private practice. She has been providing compassionate care of the highest quality to patients of all ages. She spends time listening to her patients in order to understand their concerns and responds with the best treatment options. Dr. Okamoto truly believes informed patients make better decisions about their dental health and well-being. In 2020, Dr. Okamoto merged her practice with Dental Professionals of Old Orchard in Skokie, IL. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Okamoto enjoys spending time with her family, long walks with her dog, shelling on the beaches of southwest Florida, and international travel.

  David B. Schwartz, DDS

  Dentist

  Dr. David Schwartz has been a practicing dentist in Skokie since 1988. In 2021, he joined the team at Dental Professionals and is now seeing patients at both the Chicago and Skokie offices. In addition to practicing general dentistry, Dr. Schwartz is regarded as one of the nation’s foremost experts on dental sleep medicine, which is the use of oral appliances to treat patients with sleep apnea. He is one of only 250 dentists in the country to be awarded the designation of Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. A thought leader in the field, he is a sought-after lecturer on oral appliances and dental sleep. Dr. Schwartz is also currently serving as the President of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM). As a pioneer in the field, he now leads the preeminent organization dedicated to this type of patient care—working to educate other doctors and dentists on best practices as well as direct future research.   Eliot M. Tokowitz, DDS

  Dr. Tokowitz has been serving the Chicago community in private practice for over 35 years. A proud graduate of the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1987, he went on to complete a two-year general practice residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in 1989, where he was honored as Chief Dental Resident in his second year. Since then, Dr. Tokowitz has been dedicated to providing quality dental care in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood and is now excited to bring his expertise to Dental Professionals of Old Orchard. Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Tokowitz has pursued advanced training at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, with a focus on smile esthetics and occlusion. Cosmetic Dentistry is a passion of his, with his careful attention to detail resulting in a reputation as a sought-after provider of cosmetic smile makeovers. He has also received extensive training in guided implant surgery, Invisalign, and TMJ therapy, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental care to ensure his patients receive the best possible treatment.
